Students Don't Have Enough Money Worries, Let's Give Them One More...

According to Think Progress, Eric Cantor, the #2 republican in the House of Representatives, proposed that students that take out loans should start paying interest right away, rather than being able to defer payments until after graduation.

Great idea, right? So, instead of eliminating the current oil exploration/drilling subsidy for the record profit-making oil industry, which would save about $40 billion over 10 years, let's stick it to students! Hell yeah, man--you think you enjoy Ramen noodles now? Better stock up!

But why stop there? Contact Eric and recommend that we eliminate government-funded everything for students altogether, like the school lunch program. Hey poor kids, feeling hungry at school? No worries, there's plenty that you can eat for free! Just go dumpster diving! Don't be put off by the occasional rat bite or bee sting--it's a small price to pay for doing your part to trim the deficit.
QUICK TIP: Check out the dumpsters behind the restaurants where the oil execs dine--I hear you can score some excellent foie gras!!
