Justice Department Indicates it won't Take Sides on Vermont Yankee Nuke Confrontation

Hats off to Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont for leaning on the Dept. of Justice (read more here).

The sad thing is, of course, that he had to lean on them at all. And this, my friends, is why I think President Obama still has plenty of explaining to do. In the face of Fukushima and the radiation-leak threats in Nebraska and New Mexico, I'm wondering what it might take (beyond VY distortions, lies, and leaks) before people at the Federal level to wake up.

Of course, no need to agree with me on this. You can always read strange apocrypha from this guy and read the even more bizarre cartoon that he posted on this blog:

But rather than read scary right-wing paranoid cartoons and trust in lying energy companies that would rather put profits over the safety of people, I would recommend, instead, that you understand the very real fallout of a nuclear meltdown by watching "Chernobyl Heart." Part 1 is below--Parts 2 through 4 can be found here: "Chernobyl Heart Parts 2 through 4."
